Amari Morgan, M.Ed., LPC

I'm Amari (she/her), a Black therapist helping Black women and young adults find peace in a world that constantly asks them to be everything for everyone. If you're tired of overthinking every decision, people-pleasing, carrying the weight of everyone else's expectations, or feeling like you always have to be the strong one, you're in the right place. Together, we'll create a space where you can finally exhale, heal, and become the version of yourself you've been longing for.

I Think We’d Be A Great Fit If…

You want a therapist who's genuine, relatable, and not afraid to keep it real. I'll meet you with compassion, humor, and honesty, but I'll also challenge the patterns keeping you stuck. I can't do the work for you—but I'll be in your corner every step of the way.

You may be experiencing:

  • Autism Spectrum-related experiences

  • Anxiety and overthinking

  • Depression and low motivation

  • Women’s issues and identity work

  • Relationship struggles (romantic, family, or friendships)

  • Big life transitions

  • Burnout and everyday stress

  • Social anxiety and feeling misunderstood

  • People-pleasing and boundary-setting challenges

✨What Therapy With Me Looks Like✨

🧠 Understanding the "Why"
We'll explore what's beneath the surface instead of just putting a Band-Aid on the symptoms.

🛠️ Building Real-Life Skills
You'll leave with practical strategies to manage anxiety, navigate relationships, and feel more confident outside of session.

😂 Making Space for Laughter
Healing doesn't always have to feel heavy. While we'll absolutely make room for the hard moments, we'll also celebrate wins, laugh when it's helpful, and find moments of joy along the way.

🌱 Meaningful Growth
We'll acknowledge your progress, learn from setbacks, and keep moving forward—one step at a time.

🤍 Beyond The Therapist 🤍

When I'm not in session, I enjoy creating memories with my partner, spending time with my sweet dog Bella, or planning my next trip. I absolutely love to travel and would probably be on a plane every month if I could. I'm also a huge foodie (sushi has my heart) and am always excited to try a new restaurant. Avatar: The Last Airbender will forever be one of my favorites. Music is a big part of my life, too, so don't be surprised if I'm singing, dancing, or turning an ordinary moment into a good time.

At the end of the day, I believe life is meant to be lived fully. The same joy, curiosity, and authenticity I bring to my life are the qualities I hope you'll experience when we work together.
